About Tampa Haitian SDA Church

A Christ-Centered Haitian Seventh-day Adventist Church in Tampa

Tampa Haitian Seventh-day Adventist Church is a faith community rooted in Jesus Christ, shaped by the Word of God, and committed to serving families in Tampa and the surrounding communities. We are proud to be part of the South Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, joining a larger mission of sharing the gospel, strengthening communities, and preparing hearts for the soon return of Jesus Christ.

Our church is more than a place of worship. It is a spiritual home where people can grow in faith, find encouragement, build meaningful relationships, and experience the love of God through worship, prayer, service, and fellowship.

We welcome people from all walks of life, whether you grew up in church, are returning to faith, or are simply searching for hope, truth, and community.

A Glimpse of Our Church Family

At Tampa Haitian SDA Church, we gather to worship, grow, serve, and encourage one another in Christ. These moments reflect the heart of our church family — faith, fellowship, and love in action.

Who We Are

Tampa Haitian SDA Church is a Haitian congregation with a rich cultural and spiritual heritage. Our worship reflects the beauty of our community through a blend of French, Haitian Creole, and English.

Because many of our members come from Haitian, Caribbean, American, and multicultural backgrounds, our services are designed to feel welcoming and familiar to different generations. You may hear a hymn in French, a prayer in Creole, a sermon in English or Creole, and a song of praise that brings the whole church together.

This mix of languages reminds us that the gospel is for every nation, every people, and every tongue. No matter which language you speak best, there is a place for you here.

What It Means to Be Seventh-day Adventist

As Seventh-day Adventist Christians, we believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior, Lord, and soon-coming King. Our faith is centered on the Bible, and we seek to follow the teachings of Scripture in every part of life.

The name Seventh-day Adventist reflects two important beliefs:

“Seventh-day” reminds us of the biblical Sabbath, the seventh day of the week, which is Saturday. We believe God set apart the Sabbath as a sacred day of rest, worship, renewal, and connection with Him. Each Sabbath, we gather to worship God, study His Word, pray together, and encourage one another.

“Adventist” points to our hope in the second coming of Jesus Christ. We believe Jesus is coming again, and this promise gives us hope, purpose, and urgency as we live each day by faith.

Being Seventh-day Adventist is not only about what we believe. It is also about how we live. We believe God cares about the whole person — spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. That is why Adventists value Bible study, prayer, healthy living, strong families, education, compassion, and service to others.

Our Worship Experience

Our worship services are warm, reverent, joyful, and family-centered. When you visit Tampa Haitian SDA Church, you can expect a worship experience filled with prayer, music, Scripture, and practical messages from the Word of God.

Our services often include:

  • Sabbath School Bible study for children, youth, and adults
  • Worship through hymns, praise, and special music
  • Prayer for families, healing, guidance, and spiritual growth
  • Bible-based preaching
  • Fellowship and encouragement
  • A welcoming atmosphere for visitors and new members

Our worship reflects both our Adventist faith and our Haitian heritage. We believe church should be a place where people encounter God, feel loved, and leave strengthened for the week ahead.

Our Languages: French, Creole, and English

At Tampa Haitian SDA Church, language is part of our ministry. We understand that families often include different generations who may feel most comfortable in different languages.

That is why our worship and church life include a blend of:

Haitian Creole — the heart language of many in our congregation
French — a cherished part of our worship and Haitian spiritual tradition
English — a bridge for younger generations, visitors, and the wider Tampa community

This multilingual worship experience helps us stay connected to our roots while also reaching forward to serve the next generation.

Whether you speak Creole, French, English, or a little of each, you are welcome here.

Our Mission

Our mission is to share the love of Jesus Christ, teach the truth of God’s Word, and prepare people for His soon return.

We seek to do this by:

  • Leading people into a personal relationship with Jesus
  • Teaching the Bible with clarity and love
  • Creating a welcoming spiritual home for families
  • Supporting children, youth, adults, and seniors in their faith journey
  • Serving our local community with compassion
  • Celebrating our Haitian heritage while embracing all people

Our Vision

Our vision is to be a growing, Spirit-filled church where people are transformed by Jesus, strengthened through fellowship, and equipped to serve.

We desire to be a church where:

Families are strengthened.
Young people are encouraged.
Visitors feel welcomed.
Faith is nurtured.
Prayer is alive.
The Bible is honored.
The love of Christ is seen in action.

What We Believe About Community

We believe church is not just a building. It is a family of believers walking together in faith.

At Tampa Haitian SDA Church, we value fellowship, compassion, and spiritual support. Life can bring challenges, but no one should have to walk alone. Through worship, prayer, Bible study, and community events, we seek to encourage one another and grow together in Christ.

We believe God has called us to be a light in Tampa — not only inside the church walls, but also in our homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, and communities.

A Church for Every Generation

Our church is blessed with children, youth, adults, and elders. Each generation has a place and a purpose in the body of Christ.

We honor the wisdom of our elders, encourage the leadership of our adults, nurture the faith of our youth, and teach our children to know and love Jesus.

We believe the next generation matters deeply to God. That is why we seek to create a church environment where young people can grow spiritually, ask questions, use their gifts, and understand their identity in Christ.
